Course Description

This course is designed for bridge officers and provides practical experiences in the handling of vessels in offshore operations. The course will provide theory and simulator experience covering offshore ship maneuvering.

Learning Outcomes

  • To provide students with the knowledge and skills in planning and risk assessment of offshore ship maneuvering.
  • To provide students with practical experience in maneuvering an offshore vessel during machinery failures and changing environmental conditions.
  • To provide students with experience in planning and executing offshore operations.
  • To practice teamwork and communication skills.
