Course Description
This is a course designed to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skill in high angle rescue.
Learning Outcomes
- To help students understand the advantages and limitations of protective equipment.
- To help students develop skill tying the knots used in high angle rescue.
- To provide students with the knowledge to select and use rope and equipment for high angle rescue.
- To help students perform different high angle rescue techniques.

Please be advised that the daily course schedules are subject to change and all participants should be prepared for course deliveries outside normal business hours (i.e. evenings and weekends). You will be notified if any such change is necessary. In the event of inclement weather, students should visit www.mi.mun.ca for important announcements regarding class cancellations and rescheduling. Announcements regarding class cancellations will also be on local radio stations.
If you are eligible to receive a T2202A for tax purposes, they will be available on Short Course Registration in February of the following year. Students are advised to log into your Destiny account in order to print a copy of your T2202A form.
