Course Description
This is an intermediate level course designed to enable students to review and employ previously learned skills concerning the identification of dangerous goods and responding to hazardous goods incidents.Learning Outcomes
- To enable students to identify the hazards associated with a dangerous goods incident.
- To enable students to respond to a dangerous good incident.
- To help students operate the various pieces of equipment associated with a dangerous goods incident.

Copy of valid Transport Canada Seafarer's medical is required for this training. Prerequisites should be provided to administration prior to course start date but students can bring the prerequisites along the morning of registration. (Should you have a valid medical from another jurisdiction, please contact administration to have the medical validated for training.) Please be advised that the daily course schedules are subject to change and all participants should be prepared for course deliveries outside normal business hours (i.e. evenings and weekends). You will be notified if any such change is necessary. In the event of inclement weather, students should visit www.mi.mun.ca for important announcements regarding class cancellations and rescheduling. Announcements regarding class cancellations will also be on local radio stations.
If you are eligible to receive a T2202A for tax purposes, they will be available on Short Course Registration in February of the following year. Students are advised to log into your Destiny account in order to print a copy of your T2202A form.
