Course Description
This course is designed to give the firefighter the knowledge to operate and maintain a fire pumper in a safe working condition.
Learning Outcomes
- To enable students to identify all components of a fire pumper.
- To help students understand the operations of a fire pumper.
- To enhance students' ability to perform proper care and maintenance of fire pumpers.
- To help students explain the safety precautions associated with fire pumpers.

Notes
Prerequisites should be provided to administration prior to course start date but students can bring the prerequisites along the morning of registration.
Please dress for prevailing weather conditions.
Please be advised that the daily course schedules are subject to change and all participants should be prepared for course deliveries outside normal business hours (i.e. evenings and weekends). You will be notified if any such change is necessary. In the event of inclement weather, students should visit www.mi.mun.ca for important announcements regarding class cancellations and rescheduling. Announcements regarding class cancellations will also be on local radio stations.
If you are eligible to receive a T2202A for tax purposes, they will be available on Short Course Registration in February of the following year. Students are advised to log into your Destiny account in order to print a copy of your T2202A form.
