Course Description
This course will provide the members of an industrial rescue team with the knowledge and practical skills required for confined space rescue.Learning Outcomes
- To enable participants to develop safe and efficient rescue plans for confined space emergencies through the use of situational analysis and pre-planning.
- To provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to execute a confined space rescue plan.

Employer Assurance of Competence in Atmospheric Assessment;

Marine Institute Approved Medical Clearance.
Dress for prevailing weather conditions. Please bring safety boots if you have them.
Please be advised that daily course schedules are subject to change and all participants should be prepared for course deliveries outside normal business hours (i.e. evenings and weekends). You will be notified if any such change is necessary. In the event of inclement weather, students should visit www.mi.mun.ca for important announcements regarding class cancellations and rescheduling. Announcements regarding class cancellations will also be on local radio stations.
If you are eligible to receive a T2202A for tax purposes, they will be available on Short Course Registration in February of the following year. Students are advised to log into your Destiny account in order to print a copy of your T2202A form.
