201404 - Rescue Boats
Course Description
This is an introductory course designed to provide participants with training in the operation of rescue boats.
Learning Outcomes
- To enable the student to operate ship borne rescue boats and associated launching and retrieval devices.
- To enable the student to perform rescue operations using rescue boats and their associated equipment.

Notes
Please bring a change of clothes and a towel daily for practical sessions. Dress for prevailing weather conditions. **NO WARM CLOTHING WILL BE PROVIDED**
Please be advised that the OSSC daily course schedules are subject to change and all participants should be prepared for course deliveries outside normal business hours (i.e. evenings and weekends). You will be notified if any such change is necessary. In the event of inclement weather, students should visit www.mi.mun.ca for important announcements regarding class cancellations and rescheduling. Announcements regarding class cancellations will also be on local radio stations.
If you are eligible to receive a T2202A for tax purposes, they will be available on Short Course Registration in February of the following year. Students are advised to log into your Destiny account in order to print a copy of your T2202A form.
