202013 - Confined Space Entry Awareness

Course Description

This is an introductory course designed to provide students with an awareness of marine confined space issues and to familiarize them with a selection of specialized equipment required for safe entry into confined spaces.

Learning Outcomes

• Enhance the ability of participants to ensure their own safety through knowledge of the issues surrounding entry into marine confined spaces.
• Familiarize participants with a selection of specialized safety equipment used to mitigate risk to marine confined space entrants.

Please be advised that the daily course schedules are subject to change and all participants should be prepared for course deliveries outside normal business hours (i.e. evenings and weekends). You will be notified if any such change is necessary. In the event of inclement weather, students should visit www.mi.mun.ca for important announcements regarding class cancellations and rescheduling. Announcements regarding class cancellations will also be on local radio stations.

If you are eligible to receive a T2202A for tax purposes, they will be available on Short Course Registration in February of the following year. Students are advised to log into your Destiny account in order to print a copy of your T2202A form.
