705794 - Small Non-pleasure Domestic Vessel Basic Safety (SDV-BS)
Course Description
This is a marine emergency duties course designed for crew members of non-pleasure vessels of not more than 150GT which operate not more than 25 miles from shore. This course outline meets the requirements under TP 4957 – Marine Emergency Training Courses for the applicable section.

Learner Outcomes
Please be advised that the daily course schedules are subject to change and all participants should be prepared for course deliveries outside normal business hours (i.e. evenings and weekends). You will be notified if any such change is necessary. In the event of inclement weather, students should visit www.mi.mun.ca for important announcements regarding class cancellations and rescheduling. Announcements regarding class cancellations will also be on local radio stations.
If you are eligible to receive a T2202A for tax purposes, they will be available on Short Course Registration in February of the following year. Students are advised to log into your Destiny account in order to print a copy of your T2202A form.

Prerequisites
None, however Transport Canada requirements state “A person must be at least 15 years of age to take the SDV-BS course.”
