Course Description

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge required at the management level as ships Masters to monitor and control compliance with legislative requirements and measures for the carriage of goods by sea, including methods and aids to prevent pollution of the marine environment by ships. This course provides knowledge for the general organization of ship management for the international and national requirements of the carriage of goods by sea and the prevention of pollution of the marine environment.

This course is supported by a learning management system called BRIGHTSPACE (formally Desire2Learn  or D2L). This web-based application will allow you to access all your course materials and communicate with your instructor and your classmates.  The examination must be written with Transport Canada.
