Course Description
This advanced level course provides marine engineering knowledge so that senior deck officers acquire operational knowledge of remote controls of propulsion plants, engineering systems and services. This course thoroughly examines operating principles of marine power plants, ship’s auxiliary machinery, and general knowledge of marine engineering.
This course is supported by a learning management system called BRIGHTSPACE (formally Desire2Learn or D2L). This web-based application will allow you to access all your course materials and communicate with your instructor and your classmates. The examination must be written with Transport Canada.
